BOURNE – Memorial Day [Ref.], a traditional ceremony is held at the cemetery, located on Connery Avenue off Route 28 in Bourne, adjacent to Joint Base Cape Cod, in the honor of fallen heroes of the Nation for their sacrifices made in protecting the freedom.
Serving Military officials and their families are likely to congregate at the Ceremony on Sunday at Massachusetts National Cemetery.\
Several Military officials represented as guest speakers. The event commenced with parade and musical band performances in the presence of Col. James M. Lefavor Commander of the 102nd Intelligence Wing, Francis McDonald chairman of the Joint Veterans Committee, and John T. Spruyt director of the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
Memorial Day ceremony is open to public participation for salutation and arranging circlets to honor soldiers of the Nation.
A series of events include a fusillade by the regiment of the Joint Honor Guard and traditional musical lights out will be played in the memories of the comrades who served their lives for the nation.
It has been said that one must sacrifice life to let others know the full value of life.
