Boston, the hub of entertainment, had a bright and starry weekend with many celebrities gracing the venue with their sparkling presence.
HBO jock talker Bill Simmons and host Jimmy Kimmel addressed the audiences from the stage at the Shubert Theatre to kick off “An Evening of Conversation, Laughter, and Romance”. The event was held to benefit the Scholars at Risk Program at Harvard.
The crowd was thoroughly entertained by some of the most renowned celebrities at Marriott Copley Place. Among the performers were Gloria Estefan, Ray Greene, Innervisions, Tower of Power vocalist, and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels who set the night on fire with their outstanding performances at the Berklee College of Music’s annual Encore Gala. The event earned more than $1.9 million for Berklee City Music.
Jason Derulo, Gallant, Delta Rae, and Halsey kicked off The Forbes 30 Under 30 summit with a concert on City Hall Plaza. A grand dinner was held at Red Lantern in the Back Bay and Vintage rockers Robert Plant, Steve Earle, Milk Carton Kids, and Emmylou Harris were among the guests and attendees.
A show was held for some Mix 104.1 listeners at the Emerald Lounge at the Revere Hotel. Among the performers were Gavin DeGraw and Andy Grammer who mesmerized the listeners with their Orpheum. Country crooner Eric Paslay attended a special private meet-and-greet at the House of Blues right before his show. Paslay treated a group of pediatric patients, their parents and some care providers from the Joslin Diabetes Center. He was himself diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the tender age of 10.
Malcolm McDowell promoted his movie “31” from Haverhill horrormeister Rob Zombieat the DCU Center in Worcester. Massive crowd gathered at the venue to get him to sign “A Clockwork Orange” DVDs.
At the 20th anniversary of the famous casino Mohegan Sun, many celebrities were present to add charm to the celebration. The stars included Anna Kendrick, Joe Manganiello and the popular couple JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers. The event unfolded many gossips and secrets. JoJo poked on her prior TV BF Ben Higgins and his fiancee, Lauren Bushnell. When she was asked if she saw “The Bachelor” couple’s new “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After” Freeform TV series, she replied with a tongue and cheek remark. JoJo cunningly threw the question to crowd by saying: “Did anyone watch it? I don’t know anything about it.” At the same event, Manganiello indicated that Kendrick (Affleck’s co-star in “The Accountant”), can be seen as Carrie Kelly version of Robin.Manganiello will be seen as Deathstroke in Ben Affleck’s upcoming standalone Batman flick.
Many other stars were spotted in Boston including NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal who had a romantic date dinner with longtime girlfriend LaticiaRolle and friends Ashleigh Peters. Ashleigh Peters also happens to be the director of events at Gaslight Lynnfield and Towne Stove and Spirit’s Gabriel Moraga. Wahlburgers chef Paul Wahlberg enjoyed a walk by the BloDry Boutique in the Fenway and U.S. Sen.AndElizabeth Warren was spotted dinning at Puritan & Company in Cambridge.
