TAP Air Portugal has officially launched its first-ever nonstop service from Boston Logan International Airport to Porto, Portugal. The inaugural flight took off on Wednesday, marking the beginning of a seasonal route that will operate from May 14 to October 25.
The new route connects Boston directly to Porto, Portugal’s second-largest city, widely known as the birthplace of port wine and recognized for its historic city center and centuries-old architecture. With this addition, TAP Air Portugal strengthens its transatlantic offerings and gives travelers another direct option to explore Europe.
Flights are operated on a modern Airbus A321-LR aircraft, offering passengers enhanced comfort and efficiency. The service is available four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays—making it convenient for both leisure and business travelers.
TAP Air Portugal first announced the Boston–Porto route in December. This becomes the airline’s second nonstop service from Boston, following its Boston to Lisbon route launched in 2016.
As TAP Air Portugal celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2025, the airline continues to expand its U.S. footprint. TAP began flying between Portugal and the United States in 1969 and now operates from seven major U.S. cities: Boston, New York (JFK), Newark, Chicago, Miami, Washington D.C., and San Francisco.
With the increase in international flights from Logan Airport, Boston taxi services are in higher demand. Boston Airport Taxi Cab is one of the preferred transportation options for travelers, offering prompt and professional airport transfer services. Whether arriving for an early morning departure or heading home after a long-haul flight, passengers rely on Boston Airport Taxi Cab for dependable service to and from the airport.
The new Porto route is expected to contribute to increased tourism and stronger business ties between the U.S. and Portugal. TAP Air Portugal’s expanded presence provides greater flexibility for travelers and reinforces Boston’s role as a key international gateway.
