Boston Airport Taxi Cab would like to extend the traffic advisory issued by MBTA.The events happening within The City of Boston will bring certain parking restrictions as well as street closings.Participants at these events are advised to walk, cycle or take public transport. The information on Bluebikes which is the local bike-sharing service is available through this website and details on the MBTA are available on the internet. The MBTA suggests that users buy a round-trip ticket rather than the one-way option for an easier return trip. Walking is also an excellent option to get about.Back Bay/ Beacon Hill, Veterans Day Parade- Saturday, November 5
The parade route requires that all traffic using Tremont Street, in a southerly direction be diverted to alternate routes. The traffic restrictions and possible closures will be put in place to accommodate the parade along those streets as follows:
- Beacon Street (for parade vehicles), Southside (Boston Common) From Charles Street to Joy Street
- Boylston Street, Both sides between Hereford Street South to Tremont Street
- Tremont Street, both sides, starting from Boylston Street to Park Street
Dorchester, Thanksgiving Giveaway Event- Saturday, November 5
The parking restrictions are in place to allow a drop-off/pick-up area between 7 AM and 1 PM at the following places:
- Bowdoin Street, North side (even side) From Onley Street to #190 Bowdoin Street
- Onley Street, Southside (even side) From #16 Onley Street to Bowdoin Street
Roxbury, Boston Unity Cup- Saturday, November 5
The Boston Unity Cup will take place at Madison Park. There will be a temporary restriction on parking put in place to facilitate the event:
- Ruggles Street, Southside (park side) From Cabot Street to Dewitt Drive without excluding all MBTA Bus Stops
Pumpkin Smash - Sunday, November 6, 2022
A non-profit organization will be hosting a smashing of pumpkins event that aims to educate people about the benefits of composting for the environment. The event will utilize pumpkins that were left over from Halloween.
The event will be held within Municipal Lot #32, at 490-498 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain. There will be parking restrictions enforced on the east side of the street from 1 PM to 4 PM to allow for the celebration.
